 HuntHub collects information you provide directly, including your name, email address, profile information, and avatar image. We also collect the following data depending on which features you use:Location Data: GPS coordinates when you enable location sharing, geo-fence boundaries you create, drop pin locations, track line paths, and blood trail coordinates.Media & Camera: Photos you capture for species identification, logbook entries, community feed posts, and wallet documents (licenses, permits, tags).Communications: Messages sent through the in-app messaging system and voice audio transmitted during push-to-talk sessions.Activity Data: Selected outdoor activity type, safety radius settings, check-in responses, calendar events, logbook entries, and community feed interactions.Device Information: Device type, operating system, push notification tokens, and app usage patterns.

 

2. How We Use Your Information:

 We use your information to provide and improve our services, including:Real-time location sharing with users in your groups and nearby users within your safety radius.Emergency SOS broadcasting to users within a 3km radius.Check-in safety monitoring, including automated SOS activation after consecutive missed check-ins.Geo-fence boundary alerts and proximity notifications.AI-powered species identification using photos you submit.Delivering weather forecasts, hunting/fishing/hiking condition scores, and outdoor advisories based on your location.Push notifications for safety alerts, messages, check-in prompts, and weather warnings, which automatically mirror to paired smartwatches.Facilitating push-to-talk voice communication within your groups.Managing your subscription, processing payments, and providing account services.

 

3. Location Data:

 Location tracking is only active when you start a live session. You can stop sharing your location at any time by ending your session or using the auto shut-off timer. We do not track your location when the app is closed or when no session is active. Location data is broadcast via Firebase Realtime Database approximately every 10 seconds during active sessions. Blood trail coordinates are visible to all nearby users for the duration you set. Geo-fence boundaries and drop pins are stored in your account and are not shared with others unless you choose to do so.

 

4. AI-Powered Features:

 When you use the Species Identification camera, your photo is sent to Google's Gemini AI service for analysis. The photo is processed to identify the species and provide relevant information including regulations, safety tips, and fun facts. Photos submitted for species ID may be saved to your logbook or shared to the community feed at your discretion. Google may process this data according to their own privacy policy.

 

5. Voice Communication:

 Push-to-talk voice communication is powered by Agora. Audio is transmitted in real-time only while you hold the talk button and is not recorded or stored by HuntHub. Agora may process audio data according to their own privacy policy. Voice channels are private to your group members.

 

6. Third-Party Services:

 HuntHub integrates with the following third-party services that may collect or process data: Firebase (Google): Authentication, real-time database, and cloud storage for user data and location sharing. Agora: Real-time voice communication for push-to-talk features. Google Gemini AI: Species identification image analysis.Open-Meteo: Weather data, marine data, hunting/fishing/hiking forecasts. No personal data is sent; only coordinates.NOAA: Tide prediction data. No personal data is sent.ArcGIS: River mile marker data. No personal data is sent.RainViewer: Doppler radar imagery. No personal data is sent.OpenStreetMap: Map tiles for offline map downloads. No personal data is sent.

 

7. Data Stored on Your Device:

 Certain data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers, including: safety radius preferences, track line recordings (until saved to logbook), offline map tiles, wallet documents (license/permit photos), notification preferences, and calendar alarm settings. This data remains on your device unless you choose to sync or share it.

 

8. Data Sharing:

 We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Your location is shared only with group members, nearby users within your configured safety radius, and all nearby users during SOS events. Community feed posts you share are visible to other HuntHub users. Blood trails you create are visible to all nearby users. We may share anonymized, aggregated data for research purposes.

 

9. Data Security:

 We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication through Firebase, and encrypted storage for sensitive credentials. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

 

10. Push Notifications & Smartwatch Alerts:

 HuntHub sends push notifications for safety-critical events (SOS alerts, check-in prompts, geo-fence breaches), messages, group updates, and weather warnings. These notifications automatically mirror to paired smartwatches (Apple Watch, Wear OS) through your device's operating system. You can control notification categories individually in the app's notification settings. We store your push notification token to deliver these alerts.

 

11. Subscription & Payment Data:

 Subscription purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not directly collect or store your payment card information. We receive confirmation of your subscription status to manage access to premium features.

 

12. Your Rights:

 You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can update your profile information in the app settings, manage notification preferences, delete logbook entries and wallet items, and remove community feed posts. Contact us to request full account and data deletion. Upon deletion request, your data will be removed from our active systems within 30 days.

 

13. Children's Privacy:

 HuntHub is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete the information promptly.

 

14. Changes to This Policy:

 We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes through the app or via email. Your continued use of HuntHub after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
